Once we believe in ourselves, we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight, or any experience that reveals the human spirit. - e. e. cummings

Your support was deeply felt and appreciated.

So thank you for believing in us and helping us believe in ourselves. This year you helped us push our boundaries, work with new materials, and build bigger than we ever thought possible. We hoped to create art that lights up the soul and... no matter who you are, can connect you to a primordial understanding of the universe.... the sense that we are all made of stars...

All rewards have been sent out except for the photobook, as we wanted to spend a little bit more time on it to make it super special, look for it in January!

As for us, we'll be spending our holiday writing our Letter of Intent for Burning Man 2017.... sneak previews soon :)

Happy New Year!

Love,

Yelena and Serge and the whole HYBYCOZO family

Dear Friends

We are so grateful to feel the continued support of this community. In these times, it will prove even more important to make art, rally around each other, and learn how to be a part, rather than be apart.

Thank you to everyone who has filled out their surveys, from today you 48 hours to make any changes to your address. 14% of you still have to fill it out, so get in there.

It is you who helps us shine a light in these dark times! The sculpture, Starship Bistromath, you helped fund this summer for Burning Man has taken on a new life and has been installed in Hayes Valley, CA as part of the Illuminate SF Festival in collaboration with the SF Arts Commission. Here's some photos

Thank you again and we are looking forward to starting to ship the rewards!!

Cat's Out of the Bag + Surveys!
over 7 years ago – Thu, Oct 20, 2016 at 08:11:51 AM

Dear Backers

Cat's out of the bag!

Hoodline, the SFist and SF examiner were first to report that HYBYCOZO is being considered for a 1 year exhibit in Hayes Valley. We (pending city approval) will be installing a 2014 HYBYCOZO and guess what, the sculpture you helped create this year, The Starship Bistromath! We have given her a new laser cut pattern and we couldn't be more excited to debut it! We will be having a collaborator party there, more details TBA

Surveys!

We will send an email with a special link to BackerKit surveys . It is important to respond to your survey as quickly as you can since we need this information for fulfilling your rewards.

You do not need to create a BackerKit account to fill out your survey, just click on the survey link, fill it out, and you’re all good to go! You will be able to answer questions about your rewards preferences, provide shipping information, and pledge for more “add-ons” if you'd like. You do not have access to this survey link yet, but it will be available soon via email!

If you decide later that you want to edit your survey response, you can go back to your survey and change it any time before we lock down the surveys for processing.

If you need to review your information or pledge status, you will be able to recover your survey here: hybycozo.backerkit.com.

If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account.

If you have another email address that you would prefer to use, please contact support at hybycozo.backerkit.com/faq and we'll get you sorted out!

Best Photos from Burning Man and Survey Next Week!
over 7 years ago – Fri, Oct 14, 2016 at 02:06:31 PM

Hello dear backers!

We hope that everyone is getting a lovely start to their fall. We have been as busy as ever creating and getting the rewards sorted out, moving to a new studio, and preparing some new surprises that we will announce soon!

A couple of important items:

Surveys - We are using a new service called Backerkit to do the surveys which will allow you to get any other HYBYCOZO essentials you may want or want to give as gifts this fall. We've never used it before but have gotten great feedback from some of our other BM artist friends that used it. Let us know if you have any questions.

Timing - You should get your survey on Monday and you will have approximately 1 week to fill it out.

Shipping - We guarantee everyone will receive their reward by the holidays. We will do it by tier so some will ship sooner and some will come later. You should get a tracking number once your item ships. Please double check that your shipping address is correct!

Lastly, we wanted to share some of our favorite photos!

Here we have some cutting edge 360 degree photo technology taken by the more talented side of our family.

Click here for an album of our favorites on Facebook!

Thank you again for this support, we are excited to share more news with you soon!

The HYBYCOZO team has returned from Burning Man and just finished dusting off... Well not quite, there is a lot of dust remaining.

It was a tremendous effort and we couldn't have done it without you.

  • 1300 holes drilled
  • 1200 square feet of metal mesh
  • 96 brackets welded

  • 100 hours of painting
  • 150 ft of LED strip
  • 144 sheets of high polish stainless steel mirror

  • 1 glowing gold rhombic triacontahedron
  • 3 truncated cuboctahedrons
  • 1 Marvin
  • 1 Improbability Drive
  • 1 Heart of Gold

We are so grateful to have such a wonderful group of supporters! It is was such a pleasure to meet many of you during Burning Man. Thank you for stopping by and saying hi at the sculptures! What a treat to cross over from the digital to the physical and friendship realm with many of you!

A core group of 20 people built the HYBYCOZO this year, but maybe more importantly... we also built a beautiful and strong community united around physical art, geometric education, social justice, and bringing more mind blowing experiences into the world. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to create!

The survey for the rewards will go out next week, so stay tuned...

In the meanwhile, here are some photos of the build and the installation for you to enjoy... We will share an official best of gallery soon as well!

In intergalactic gratitude,

Yelena, Serge, Oren, and the whole HYBYCOZO team!
